[google-chrome-frame:3989] seems to be an issue with flushing the buffer to frequently resulting in long rendering time in version 35

i have a page which writes out 35,000 labelValueBeans in an iteration to the <option> tag in the previous versions i was using (31 and 33) the rendering time was 5 seconds but in version 35 the rendering time is 47 seconds!!!
i have done this test which indicates that there's a problem with flushing the buffer too often here is my code :

previously i had my code like this which produced long waiting time(which i have commented out the iterating and writing out):

    <form name="itemGroupSelect">
       <select style="width:300;font-size:12" id="groupID" name="groupID" size="10" '>
           <%-- <logic:iterate id="group" name="itemGroupBeans">
               <option value='<bean:write name="group" property="value"/>'><bean:write name="group" property="label" /></option>
          </logic:iterate> --%>

as you can see the jsp is writing out to the buffer at each iteration, seems that in the earlier versions of chrome the client(chrome)has not emptied the buffer and waited till the buffer was full and then to retrieve the output, but in the current version of 35 it retrieves the output each time and flushes is out so it takes very long.

here is the new code which cut the original waiting time of ( seconds) to 2 seconds!!! :
                List<LabelValueBean> itemGroupBeans = (List<LabelValueBean>)request.getAttribute("itemGroupBeans");
StringBuilder options = new StringBuilder();
for(int i= 0; i < itemGroupBeans.size(); i++ ){
options.append("<option value=\""+itemGroupBeans.get(i).getValue()+"\">" + itemGroupBeans.get(i).getLabel()+"");
}%>
         <%=options %>
     </select></form>

why did this work? because i am writitng out to the buffer at once and is being retreived by the browser at once.
this is definitely an issue and i hope it will be resolved soon.

Thank You for reading and understanding my issue.

[google-chrome-frame:3988] Re: Troubleshooting Developer mode and Linux

I recently enabled developer mode on the HP Chromebook 14. Crouton and Ubuntu were successfully downloaded, and I was able to switch between Chrome OS and Ubuntu using the CTRL+ALT+FWD/BKWD. However, I logged out of Ubuntu and restarted the Chromebook. Now, when I switch from Chrome OS it brings me to the Developer Console and is asking for the ¨localhost login.¨ It doesn't accept the username I specifified (if that's what it's asking for) after Ubuntu first downloaded. The page is also offering these sets of instructions, if it sounds familiar to anyone:

¨By default, you can login as the chronos user with no password.  This includes the ability to do password-less sudo.  The instructions on the screen will tell you how you can set a password.  They also tell you how to disable screen dimming.¨

Does this sound familiar to anyone? To note, I also tried typing in, ¨root,¨ but if I do, it will require a ¨localhost login #~¨.

Does anyone know if there is an archive repository of previous versions somewhere?

Thanks.

Re: [google-chrome-frame:3986] Re: Where can I get old versions of GoogleChromeframeStandaloneEnterprise.msi?

Enterprise users of your product use intranet tools which break with updates. Unfortunately, the auto-update model breaks installations when our portables move off the corporate network. Dumb end users gravitate to latest and greatest and whine when it suddenly stops working. The previous model of .dmg distro package was simple and elegant. It allowed for easy internal distribution and versioning control.

While I hear what you're saying in the attempt to enforce reporting, but its simply not always possible as not all pages are puplic facing. Insisting on the model you've implemented and eliminating the archive references makes your group sound like a bunch of prima donna's if you ask me.

If there's something in particular that you find broken, please file a bug report according to the guidelines here: http://www.chromium.org/for-testers/bug-reporting-guidelines. [google-chrome-frame:3984] Re: Can we redistribute Chrome Frame?

Sorry for the delay Ritesh (I was on vacation) but sadly no, since we retired Chrome Frame we're no longer offering redistribution licenses.

There are a couple of potential mitigations (eg Legacy Browser Support or writing a Packaged App) but nothing that's a direct replacement unfortunately. Let me know if you'd like to discuss these more and I'd be happy to send you the details.

Again sorry I don't have a better answer,

Ian.

Feel free to point me to a FAQ / document if there is one for this. I
couldn't find this in the general FAQ.
